Changing the text from "Ode to Joy" to "Ode to Freedom" and using musicians from around the world, Leonard Bernstein conducted this symphony at the historic fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Fascinated by the Scale of Olympos, a 7th century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano, Garry cut and tuned the lawn chair tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale.
