KINTSUGI: Japanese for "repaired with gold", an ancient technique that celebrates objects that have been broken by repairing the cracks with gold. Imperfection is beautiful, and mending is transformative! This MOP coin has been mended with GENUINE 23k gold leaf to proudly declare "You are more beautiful for having been broken." A beautiful 20mm smooth mended white Mother-of-Pearl recovery coin. This shell pendant has been simply hung on a silky soft yet unbreakable silk-like cord. This pendant feels smooth and cool against the skin. Mended with epoxy, and genuine 23k gold leaf. This repaired coin proudly symbolizes transformation, strength, and beauty in imperfection. It was mindfully broken by me, and then repaired using the Kintuskuroi technique. PENDANT: 20mm (3/4 inch) white Mother-of-Pearl coin. The round coin is 20mm in diameter (3/4") and 5mm thick and is about the same size as a U.S. Nickel. It is a beautiful white color with shimmering nacre in soft greens, pinks, and lavender. Each MOP coin has nacre, and is a natural shell so expect some imperfections.. It is broken then mended on both sides as shown, using the Kintsukuroi technique---but I have added genuine 23k yellow gold leaf on top of the scars. Smooth, puffy and polished. Mother-of-Pearl symbolizes good luck and attracts prosperity. CORD: Unbreakable, silky nylon cord in any length or color you choose. This cord will never break, stretch, fray, or lose color. Silk-like feel and sheen. Stainless steel lobster clasp.Please wear with care, and remove before showering or swimming.Arrives on Kintsugi Recovery card as shown, gift boxed.
